ROCK HILL, S.C. — A total of 131 marijuana plants were discovered in Rock Hill over the last two days, leading to one man’s arrest on trafficking and manufacturing charges.
Tuesday evening around 7, York County Sheriff’s Deputies met with a hunter who had discovered marijuana plants of Cel-River Road in Rock Hill. A total of 108 plants were located and recovered.
On Wednesday, the York County Multijuri
sdictional Drug Enforcement Unit, York County Sheriff’s Office and the State Law Enforcement Division flew over the same area and observed more marijuana plants.
Officers then served a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Cel-River Road, locating additional plants. Bringing Wednesday’s figure to 23 plants.
In all, 131 marijuana plants were recovered.
Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Gerald Williams, Jr., and charged him trafficking marijuana and manufacturing marijuana.
