Olumpia China (Al Cannon Detention Center)
NORTH CHARLESTON (WCIV) —
Members of a special assignment team with the North Charleston Police Department and deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office visited a Kent Avenue residence on October 2, and left with two people in custody on gun and drug charges.
Eric Brown of Kent Ave. and Olumpia China of Hackerman St. are currently housed at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Reports say that officers saw green plant like material accompanied by digital scales in plain view. Officers secured a search warrant for the residence and found marijuana, a digital scale, and a silver Taurus 38 revolver. Officials say the revolver was reported stolen through the Charleston Police Department.
In an out-building, officers say they also found about 11.8 grams of cocaine, 58.5 grams of marijuana, two “cocaine presses,” and distribution/packaging evidence.
Brown was charged with possession of a stolen firearm while China was charged with possession
