CHARLESTON — A man who was one of two accused of planning to sell marijuana admitted to the offense but has a chance for no record of a conviction.
Jonathan P. Duncan, 25, whose most recent address in court records is an apartment at 1622 12th St., Charleston, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
Duncan, for whom records also show an address in Frankfort, was accused along with his roommate at the time of having marijuana they intended to sell at their Charleston apartment on April 7 of last year.
With the agreement in his case, Duncan was sentenced to two years of first offender probation, which means he won’t have a conviction on his record if he completes his probation term successfully.
The charge to which Duncan pleaded guilty could also have resulted in a prison sentence of two to 10 years.
Requirements of the sentence included an evaluation for substance abuse treatment and payment of about $2,000 in fines and
