BARBOURSVILLE – The following information was provided by reports from the Barboursville Police Department:
WANTON ENDANGERMENT: A man allegedly shot at a driver around 3 p.m. Sept. 24 in the 4900 block of U.S. 60, according to an incident report.
After the incident, a Milton police officer saw the suspect’s vehicle, a silver 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, traveling eastbound at the 20-mile marker on Interstate 64 and pulled it over at a gas station in Milton.
A Barboursville officer searched the car and found a .40-caliber Beretta under the passenger seat, where Corey Allen Tucker was sitting, according to the report. While checking with dispatch, officers discovered that Tucker, 22, of Charleston, had an active warrant out of Kanawha County for destruction of property.
Having had a previous conviction of assault and first-degree battery in January 2016, Tucker allegedly admitted to officers in a written statement that the firearm was his and that he shot at the driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado three times after a verbal and physical altercation.
