CHARLESTON — Charleston Police used their undercover unit that has made recent mall busts to make 10 busts at the Capitol Market.
On Thursday, the undercover patrol arrested ten alleged criminals at the Captiol market.
Officers said that business owners and residents in that area had been complaining about harassment, including homeless people harassing kids for money, and the Capitol Market had complained about thieves and people doing drugs in the bathroom.
The sting was conducted by Charleston Police Department at the direction of Charleston Police Chief, Steve Cooper.
Most of the arrests were concerning old warrants, and some things like trespassing, littering, open containers, intoxication and one marijuana possession charge.
