Natrez Patrick is out of jail this morning, but he might not be on the field for awhile.
Georgia’s starting middle linebacker was arrested late Thursday night and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was released on $1,500 bond.
This is Patrick’s second marijuana-related offense while at Georgia, and he was suspended for one game two years ago. Now, according to the Georgia student handbook, he should be a facing a four-game suspension, starting with Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt.
Patrick is third on the Bulldogs with 17 tackles this season.
Georgia is 5-0 and ranked No. 5 in the latest AP poll. It’s next four games are against Vanderbilt, Missouri, Florida and South Carolina.
