A Longs man pled guilty in a Florence federal court Thursday to gun and drug charges, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Beth Drake.
22-year-old Quavon Melik Bellamy pled guilty to possession of a stolen firearm and ammunition and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, according to the release.
U.S. District Judge Bryan Harwell heard the plea and will impose a sentence after he has reviewed the presentence report from the U.S. Probation Office, the release says.
Evidence presented at the guilty plea hearing established that on Feb. 14, authorities responded to the report of a man with a gun, according to the release.
The female who called 911 gave officers Bellamy’s name and a vehicle tag number, the release states.
Officers ran the tag and identified the address on the vehicle’s registration before responding to the address, and were able to locate the vehicle in the front yard.
When the officers arrived at the residence, Bellamy exited
