Antonio Williams, 37, of 8992 Charleston Highway, Bowman, pleaded guilty last week to first-offense driving under the influence.
Circuit Judge James Barber sentenced him to 30 days at the Orangeburg County Detention Center or a fine of $400.
Prosecutors dropped an additional charge of driving under suspension.

Kaitlyn Louise Hamson, 28, of 4 Glory Land Circle, St. Matthews, pleaded guilty to shoplifting valued under $2,000 and receiving stolen goods valued under $2,000.
Barber sentenced her to 90 days in jail or a fine of $250.
Darious Renwick Gibson, 24, of 221 Amethyst Way, Laurens, pleaded guilty to unlawful carrying of a handgun.
Barber sentenced him under the Youthful Offender Act not to exceed one year, suspended to one year of probation.
Paul Gregory Burton, 44, of 905 Coastal Marsh Road, Mt. Pleasant, pleaded guilty to first-offense driving under the influence.
Barber sentenced him to 30 days in jail or a fine of $400.
