KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A man is in jail after police say they discovered a large amount of drugs during a search warrant.
According to Glasgow Police, a search warrant was executed at a home on 98th Street in Marmet Friday.
During the search, officers seized about 10 pounds of cocaine and around 30 pounds of marijuana.
Justin Connard, 36, is charged with drug possession as well as child neglect. According to the criminal complaint, police say during the search they found a package of marijuana open and easily within reach of the three children that lived in the home.
“As most of us know the economics of the valley have been poor and the drug trade has been doing really well,” said Marmet Police Officer John Perrine. “So this is a dent for us in the town and it should be a wake up call for the drug dealers here that we know what’s going on.”
Neighbors in the area say they are pleased to see the bust. It was the second bust in two
