North Charleston police charged two people Wednesday on charges related to marijuana and cocaine.
An NCPD narcotics unit received a call from the postal investigator at the US Postal Service Office on Cross County Road, regarding a suspicious package.
A K9 helped in identifying the package, and shortly after, the post office received a call from the person the package was addressed to, officials said.
Two people arrived at the post office on Cross County Road to pick up the package and sign for it, officials said.
They retrieved the box from the postal worker and as they exited the post office, detectives made contact with them and asked about the contents of the package.
Eventually, Demar Bacon, 32, of 2525 Stadium Dr. North Charleston, admitted there was marijuana inside the package. Devon Jarrod Mayfield, 25, of 966 Sheep Island Road, Summerville was with him and charged as well.
