According to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office Solicitor Scarlett A. Wilson announced that the defendant, Antonio Campbell, pled guilty to trafficking cocaine, greater than 28 grams but less than 100 grams, trafficking marijuana, greater than 10 pounds but less than 100 pounds, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Pursuant to a negotiated plea, Circuit Court Judge Markley Dennis sentenced the Defendant to 14 years on trafficking cocaine and trafficking marijuana, no parole, along with 5 years on the gun charges with all the sentences to run concurrently.
The case was investigated by Detective Goode of the Mount Pleasant Police Department with assistance from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office METRO Unit. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Solicitor Charles M. Condon, Jr., of the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
