Marion, S.C. (WPDE) —
A Mullins man has been charged with multiple drug offenses after a drug search Wednesday.
According to Marion County Sheriff Brian Wallace, a search was conducted at a home on Zion Road in Mullins.
Following the search, Jamaal Fredrick Smith, 35, was charged with five counts of distribution of cocaine base, third offense, three counts of distribution of controlled substance near a school, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, third offense, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, second offense.
Wallace said cocaine, marijuana and money were seized during the search.
Marion Police Department and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources assisted in the investigation, Wallace said.
Smith is currently being held at the Marion County Detention Center on a $220,000 surety bond.
