A Pawleys Island man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being served gun and drug charges, according to a release from Jimmy Richardson, 15th Circuit Solicitor with the 15th Judicial Circuit.
Kneshon Raheime Pino, 30, pleaded guilty to trafficking in heroin four to 14 grams and unlawful possession of a sawed-off rifle, the release states.
Pino was arrested for the gun charge on Aug. 17 when officers obtained a search warrant at his home where they found a Colt M4 Carbine rifle that had a 12.5 inch barrel, which is illegal in South Carolina, as well as other firearms, officials said.
On March 2, 2016, Pino was stopped by agents with the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit who had been conducting a surveillance operation of a drug transaction, officials said. At the time, Pino was wanted on a bench warrant and had a pending warrant.
