Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 1:40 a.m. Saturday at Eastern Illinois University’s East Hall. The alarm was set off by marijuana smoke under a detector head.
Firefighters conducted an odor investigation at 10:38 a.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army, 1300 Richmond Ave. They found that the odor was produced by a pilot light being out in a gas stove.
Firefighters responded at 7:51 a.m. Saturday to an alarm triggered by smoke from burnt toast at Holiday Inn Express, 121 Swords Drive.
The top of a Casey-Westfield school bus driven by Michelle L. Hayden of Casey struck the roof of a garage at Burger King, 1508 Charleston Ave., at 12:39 p.m. Sunday. No passengers were on board at the time.
