On February 2nd, 2018 members of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office arrested Perry Jackson for possession of 1.47 pounds of suspected marijuana and over $5,000 in cash.
Jackson was out on attempted murder charges, after being granted a surety bond of nearly $52,000 and was released on February 6.
On February 22nd, Berkeley County Sheriff’s office and Charleston County Sheriff’s office was searching for Jackson and found him at the Bridgetown Road Apartments in the ST. James area of Berkeley County.
There the deputies found in Jackson’s possession, a firearm, what they presumed 1.5 pounds of marijuana and just more than $2,000 in cash.
“I am hopeful that Perry Raekwon Deshawn Jackson will be held accountable for his actions. The fact that not even a month ago he was arrested on very similar charges while out on bond for attempted murder says that he does not desire to be a productive member of society. Rather, he is a danger to society,” Sheriff Duane Lewis stated.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office had warrants for Jackson so they took custody of him.
