Former Primo Water exec joins Canadian company
Mark Castaneda, who retired as chief financial officer of Primo Water Corp. in January, has been hired as CFO by Tilray Inc., a Toronto global pioneer in cannabis cultivation, processing and distribution.
Castaneda had been with Primo for nearly 10 years. He will be based in Toronto with Tilray.
Tilray said it has set “an aggressive global growth strategy” to scale distribution of its high-quality cannabis products in Canada, North America and internationally.
Castaneda also serves as the chairman of the audit committee for the board of directors of Ranir Global Holdings LLC.
BB&T names new Tenn. region president
BB&T Corp. said Thursday that Christian Corts has been named the president of its Tennessee region, replacing Mike Willett, who is joining the bank’s tax-exempt lending area within the Community Banking Administration unit. Willett will be based in Winston-Salem.
Corts most recently served as the regional corporate banking manager
