WARREN TWP. – Three people, two from West Virginia and one from Tennessee, are facing drug charges after police found heroin and cocaine during a traffic stop, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said Tuesday.
Christopher Bruce, 23, of Knoxville, Tennessee, Desiree Daniels, 19, of Charleston, West Virginia, and Stephen Johnson, 47, of St. Albans, West Virginia, were all arrested after a traffic stop on King George Road at 1:28 a.m. on Sept 4, according to a news release.
The trio’s Honda Accord was stopped by township police Officer Angelo Barbieri, who saw drug paraphernalia in plain view and Bruce, Daniels and Johnson acting extremely nervous, police said.
Barbieri found 2.5 ounces of cocaine, 19 bundles of wax paper folds containing heroin and three small plastic bags with marijuana, police said.
All three were charged with second-degree possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, third-degree possession of cocaine and heroin and possession of marijuana, a disorderly persons offense, police said.
