A police officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle and the investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Lucas M. Miner, 29, of Charleston, the release said.
It said Miner was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. The vehicle and about $520 in cash were seized and will be subject to forfeiture proceedings, it also said.
Another release said the other arrest took place on about 10 p.m. Thursday after police stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Third Street because its headlights were off.
The driver, Danielle M. Decker, 28, of Charleston was arrested after marijuana was found in the vehicle, the release said. It
